Distance Learning under the Covid-19 Conditions within Architectural Education

Distance learning is one of the means education used in various levels, from primary school to college. However, distance architectural differs other disciplines, as design-based with predominantly applied courses. As spring semester 2019/20 academic year had continue online due Covid-19 pandemic and it remained uncertain whether or when face-to-face (FtF) will start till end term, necessity focus on suddenly raised faculties. This study aims a discussion how proceed education, focusing quality, defining fundamentals, proposing suggestions within this scope. In order achieve aim, research evaluation existing platforms universities, differences between implementations theoretical courses, advantages disadvantages process are made. For purpose, comprehensive literature review universities that provide fully online, hybrid conventional throughout world conducted, given discussed paper. After ongoing processes, case determine experiences, opinions approaches students staff scope emergency remote teaching designed conducted. Together findings study, challenges, strengths opportunities evaluated maintaining raising quality education. conclusion, proposals made presented be developed architecture faculties’ future experiences.
